N18. Alma Enterprise (Alma, KS), copy published online by ancestry.com, 1911 Apr 29. "G. S. Rowley was born in Catarangus (sic) County, New York, Nov. 30 1842. He was married to Marie Worthington of that place in 1865. They came to Kansas in 1874 and settled near Paxico where they lived until 1904, when they moved to Wamego and lived until the time of his death, April 26, 1911. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, a son, C. W. Rowley of Zeandale, two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Drebing and Mrs. May Fearon of Topeka. A brother in New York and a sister in Topeka besides many friends at Paxico and Wamego. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon and largely attended.
