Mrs. Sidney C. Rowley Dies From Injuries Received
Kennedy, Aug. 29 - Mrs. Sidney C. Rowley died at an early hour yesterday morning as the result of internal injuries sustained in a runaway accident last Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Rowley was 79 years of age.
Mrs. Rowley was driving to Conewango Valley with her granddaughter Mrs. B. H. Rublee, and had just reached that place when the horse became frightened and started to run away. Both women were thrown from the buggy and Mrs. Rowley sustained serious internal injuries. Mrs. Rublee was not seriously injured. Mrs. Rowley was taken to the home of her granddaughter at Ellington and it was there that the death occurred.
Mrs. Rowley was an almost lifelong resident of the village of Kennedy, and a member of one of the pioneer families. Her maiden name was Matilda Moore. She is survived by her son, Ernest F. Rowley of Kennedy.
The funeral will be held from the home of B. H. Rublee at Ellington at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the internment to be in the Ellington cemetery."
