Guilderland, NY- Laura K. Rowley, 87 formerly of Duanesburg, NY died Nov. 6,2012 at Our Lady of Mercy Care Center, Guilderland, NY. She was born in Coxsackie, NY on Nov. 29,1924 the daughter of Arthur and Elva (nee Moore) Kendall. She was predeceased by her husband George G. Rowley as well as her brothers Kenneth, Irving and Vernon Kendall as well as her sisters Evalyn Bailey and Marie Pieringer. She is survived by her daughter Kim E. Roberts (Eugene) and her son Scott E. (Brenda) Rowley. She is also survived by her siblings Jessie Bauer, Ruth Sekanic, Alice Fredericks and Gordon Kendall. She was the loving grandmother of Eric and Kevin Roberts, Stephen, Brook and Curtis Rowley as well as her great-grandchildren, Wesley, Tobin, Lincoln and Maeve Roberts.
Laura worked at Ellis Hospital as a lab receptionist retiring eighteen years ago. She was a homemaker who was well known for her delicious cookies which she loved to bake and share with others.
Calling hours will be held at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY on Thurs. Nov.8,2012 from 10-11am A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern, NY at 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205."
