Corfu, Aug. 9 The death of James L. Hills occurred at his residence In this village yesterday afternoon at about 1 o'clock. Mr. Hills was born in Brookfield, Madison county, N.Y, in 1812, lived a great many years near Akron, and moved to his residence in this village from his farm in Darien about four years ago. He leaves a widow and three children. The funeral services will probably be held from the residence at 2 p.m. tomorrow, conduction by the Rev. J.P. Hunt of Clarence."

Mrs. Levona Hills of Corfu, widow of James L. Hills, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock after a brief illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cynthia L. Hall of Akron, where she had gone for a short visit.
Mrs. Hills's age was 87 tears, 5 months and 2 days. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Hall of Akron; two sons, Henry J. Hills of Chicago, 111, and Byron E. Hills of Corfu, with whom she lived. and two brothers, Myron and Daniel Curdy of Michigan. The funeral will be held from the house in Akron tomorrow at 12:30 o'clock. The internment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery at Corfu."
