Vandergrift
Betty Ann (Cannon) Stover, 67, of Vandergrift, died Monday, May 26, 2003, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 28, 1935, in Vandergrift, she had lived in the Kiski Valley most of her life. She was employed as a bus driver by Byers Busing Co. in Vandergrift and was a member of Holy Spirit Praise and Fellowship Center in Wilmerding. She worked as a volunteer with young adults with disabilities throughout the area and also worked with United Cerebral Palsy. She enjoyed cooking, baking and playing bingo. Survivors include her mother, Anna Cannon, of Vandergrift; a daughter, Kimberly Stover, of Vandergrift; a son, Thomas "Toma" Stover, of Greensburg; four brothers, Martin Cannon, of Browns Point, Wash, Douglas Cannon, of Mentor, Ohio, David Cannon, of Lynchburg, Va, and Charles Cannon, of Arlington, Texas; and a sister, Kathy Mathis, of Holland, Mich. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Cannon. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME, 244 Franklin Ave, Vandergrift, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Anna Jean Brinter officiating. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift. Memorial contributions may be sent to Apollo Trust Co, 201 N. Warren Ave, Apollo, PA 15613.
