NELSON C. BROCIOUS, 73
Nelson C. Brocious, 73, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Punxsutawney Area I Hospital.
Mr. Brocious was born June 29, 1931, in Ringgold, the son of the late Clarence and Myrna (Minich) Brocious.
He was married Aug. 27, 1949, to Jane (Hepler) Brocious of Ringgold, who survives.
Mr. Brocious was a member of the UMWA and the NRA. He loved hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Galen C. Brocious of Punxsutawney; five daughters, Darla J. Minich and husband Dean of Mayport, Patricia I. DuMont of Fayetteville, N.C, Vicky A. Brocious of Fredericksburg, Va, Nancy J. Matko and husband Steve of Cherry Tree and Wendy K. Hoppe and husband Steve of Gloucester, Va; two brothers, Paul Brocious and wife Jane and Earnest Brocious, all of Sharpsville; three sisters, Maxine Hawk and husband Chester of Shippenville, Emmagene Lewis and Faye LaVan and husband Larry, all of Clarion; a sister-in-Iaw, Wanda Brocious; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Brocious.
Friends will be received from 11 to 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Alt officiating.
Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney."

Jane E. Brocious, 76, Dora, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at her residence. She was born Feb. 16, 1930, in New Bethlehem, a daughter of the late Guy and Irene Helper.
Mrs. Brocious was married to Nelson C. Brocious for 56 years. He preceded her in death April 14, 2005.
She was a member of the Dora Evangelical Church and the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary. Her loves included her family, traveling, painting ceramics and scenic rides on her motorcycle.Surviving relatives include a son, Galen C. Brocious of Dora; five daughters, Darla J. Minich and husband Dean of Mayport, Patricia I. DuMont of Punxsutawney, Vicki A. Brocious of Virginia, Nancy J. Matko and husband Steve of Cherry Tree, and Wendy K. Hopper and husband Steve of Virginia; two brothers, Merle Hepler and Guy Hepler; five sisters, Dorothy McNaughton, Twilia Edmonds, Jewel Bartly, Janet Eckard and Joanne Ritchy; six grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
