Webmaster's Genealogy
Irene Rowley
Hi. I would like to present my
Genealogy research project and books with a grateful thanks to all who helped. I am 12 generations removed from Daniel Rowley Sr. through his first-born son Joseph Langrell Rowley.
I was born in Southern California. Graphic design and website development have been my career choices, and I also enjoy creative art and writing. Genealogy has been one of my hobbies since I was a little girl. Back in the 80's, I baught a computer, started keeping track of the family genealogy records in Filemaker, and started entering ancestors and sources. In the past eight or so years, the explosion of genealogy databases on the internet has allowed me to add to it and finish numerous branches of the family history, like never before.
My lineage and areas of research are:
- Henry Rowley, born c.a. 1598, who arrived about 1632/3 in Plymouth Colony, America. ("It is possible that he was one of the company that came over from Leyden, Holland to Plymouth in the American Colonies in 1630. It has also been conjectured that he came with Mr. Hatherly in 1632... His first wife was Sarah Palmer, daughter of William Palmer Senior, of Duxbury. The latter came over in the Fortune in 1621, and his wife Frances came in the Anne in 1623." - per Brainard.)
- Moses Rowley Sr., born c.a. 1627-30 m. Elizabeth Fuller (daughter of Capt. Matthew Fuller, whose father Edward Fuller came to America on the Mayflower. Matthew Fuller came with a later group of emigrants and brought his family to Plymouth by 1640.)
- Moses Rowley II, born 1654 m. Mary Fletcher
- Moses Rowley III, born c.a. 1679 m. Martha Porter
- Daniel Rowley Sr., born 1720 m. Bethiah Langrell (daughter of Joseph Langrell and Mary Thomas - Mary is a Mayflower descendent)
