George Parrot was a school teacher, born in 1871 in Louisville, Kentucky, and died in 1949. According to my dad, George Parrot loved to travel, and collected these postcards and souvenir packets from his travels around America, from about 1910 until his death. His postcard collection includes some cards from his children: Beulah the eldest, Ruth (my grandmother), Howard and George, jr.  It also has postcards save by his wife, Mary (Elliott) Parrot, from her own friends and family.
