Family Description (the Cheney branch)

My family descends from the first Cheneys in America: John Cheney (1605-1666) of Benington, Lincolnshire, England, and son Daniel Cheney, who sailed to America in 1635 according to book, The Cheney Genealogy by Charles H. Pope. My line comes from Daniel Cheney's son, Timothy Cheney (1713-1772) and his wife Sarah (Prentice) Cheney, who lived in Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. In particular, I know about the descendents of Timothy's son: Edward Cheney (1752-1813) and wife Abigail Hale (1752-1841) from Middlesex, MA, pioneer farmers with a large family. Edward and Abigail migrated to Brandon, Vermont from New Hampshire on an ox sled and were among the earliest pioneers of Brandon. One of this daughters was Polley (Cheney) Rowley.
