Her Age was 87 Years Old and She Had Lived in Le Roy Fifty Years.
Le Roy, Aug. 2_ - Mrs. S. H. Blackmer, who for half a century had been a highly respected resident of this village, at 6(?) o'clock yesterday morning at her home on South Street, after many months of ill health. Mrs. Blackmer was 87 years old last January. She came to this village from Wyoming. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church.
Mrs. Blackmer, whose husband has been dead many years, is survived by one daughter, Emma, of this village; two brothers, Dr. Hovey and Spencer Hovey of Rochester, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Josephine Sprague of Ohio and Louis Elyea of West Virginia. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the house. The Rev. F. S. Parkurst of the M.E. Church will officiate and the interment will be at Macpelah cemetery."
