PERRYSVILLE -- Robert G. Barres, 66, of rural Perrysville died Monday morning, Oct. 5, 2009, at Hospice of North Central Ohio, Ashland, after a brief illness.
Mr. Barres was born Feb. 15, 1943, in Elyria, the son of George and Violet (Rowley) Barres.
He was an area resident the past 10 years, retiring in 2007 from Whirlaway Corp. in Wellington. He had worked more than 15 years for the Mansfield office of State Farm Insurance as an adjuster.
On Aug. 28, 2004, he married Sandra Boggess Ewers, who survives.
He also is survived by a son, Rob Barres of Lorain; a daughter, Debbie (Brian) Hoagland of Elyria; two stepdaughters, Tina (Steve) Hawley of Hayesville and Cecilia (Mick) Wilson of Mansfield; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and a brother, Larry (Diane) Barres of Vermillion.
Private family services will be at a later date.
