Memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society. ."

" Lon N. Hoagland, 79, of Pratt, died early Friday morning, December 17, at the Pratt Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
A retired merchant, he was born March 16, 1903, in Sun City. He was married to Alma E. Barnard in Medicine Lodge on April 30, 1925.
He owned and operated a general merchandise and grocery store for many years in Sun City, Sawyer and Cunningham before retiring and moving to Pratt in 1958.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Pratt, and the Cunningham Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include the widow of the home; son, Donald of Excelsior Springs, Mo; step-mother, Lenora Hoagland of Newton; brothers, Fred and Ralph, both of Wichita; two grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, at the Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt, with the Rev. William L. Harrold Officiating. Burial was in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Sun City, Ks.
The family suggests memorials to the Cancer Society. ."
