Lucien W. Bingham, son of the late Colonel William Bingham, died on Thursday evening at 11 o'clock, after a brief but very painful illness, at his mother's residence in Warsaw, aged 53 years. An active and upright business life is thus suddenly closed, and a devoted son and brother taken. Mr. Bingham has been a commercial traveler of twenty years and had an extended acquaintance in the best business and social circles, south, west, and east. He was a thorough Christian gentleman, genial in his nature and possessing rare social qualities. He married Miss Lucy A. Bangs(sp?) of Georgetown, D.C, who died August 1_, 1867, after a brief _. He was a member of Joy Lodge, F. and A.M, St. Omer commendary, 23d Regiment association of Elmira, N.Y. and also of a G.A.R. post in Chicago. Mr. Bingham was insured in the Southern Tier Masonic Relief association and in the Connecticut Mutual. The funeral will be on Monday at 1 o'clock p.m. from Trinity church. Warsaw lodge, F. and A.M. and Gibbs post, G.A.R, will attend in a body, but the episcopal burial service only will be used."
