Morgantown, W. Va, Jan. 3.-- Although the death of Neil F. Hathway, aged 40, of this city, formerly of Watertown, N. Y, division maintenance engineer for the West Virginia state road commission, is believed to have been accidental, no stone will be left unturned to establish this fact and learn all about his movement from the time he left this city on Monday....
The body of Hathway was found lying at the side of his automobile on the highway near Rockville, Maryland, this morning, by a passing motorist. The motor of the car was still running when the body was found...
Mr. Hathway was maintenance engineer of division 4 for the state road commission, with headquarters in this city...
He was born in Watertown the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hathway. His wife Marguerite Ayers Hathway, is also from Watertown, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Ayers of that place....
The body will be taken to Watertown for burial. The Masonic lodge here and in Watertown will probably have charge of the body."
