Wesley "Wes" Hale Rowley II, 85, of Bonita Springs, Fla, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, in his son's home from complications due to pulmonary fibrosis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Hale Rowley and Arabella Pauline (Mickey) Rowley; and a brother, Ronald Keith Rowley. He leaves his wife of almost 60 years, Jane Doris (Thorn) Rowley. He also leaves behind four children, Harry F. Rowley and Terri, Donna Bolls and David, Wesley H. Rowley III and Lori, and Jeffrey K. Rowley and Lynda; and two brothers, Roger A. Rowley and Donna Marie and David J. Rowley and Ruth. Wes had nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Born in Natrona Heights on Jan. 30, 1929, Wes was the eldest of four brothers. He graduated in 1946 from New Kensington High School and joined the Army. He served in Japan during the occupation after World War II. When he returned, Wes attended the Kiski School for Boys before finishing his school career at Bowling Green University in Ohio where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta. Wes had a long career in retail management for the G. C. Murphy Co. and then Kmart. He was a dedicated family man with a quick wit and always looked for the humor in any situation. The family asks that memorial donations go to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.
