Rowley / Meadville: Myron H. "Hub" Rowley, 79, a resident of Meadville for 41 years, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown. Born April 13, 1928, in Freeport, he was a son of Bertha and Clyde Rowley. In 1953, he married Violet Yvorra, who preceded him in death in 1985. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy. Following the war, he was employed by PPG Glass Co. in Vernon Township for more than 35 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and vacationing at his cabin in Canada. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a former member of Freeport Methodist Church. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin, Clyde Kenneth, and his older brother, Robert. Surviving are three daughters, two granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, and his only sister, Ruth Hale, of Concordia, Cabot, formerly of Freeport. Local funeral arrangements were entrusted to the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St, Freeport, 724-295-3100. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 464 Pine St, Meadville, PA 16335.
