"Kenneth G. Rowley / Kenneth G. Rowley, 92, Topeka, died Friday, Jan. 24, 1992, at a Topeka hospital. He was a welder and shop foreman at Topeka Supply and Boiler Company for 51 years. He retired in 1987. He was born Oct. 30, 1898 in Paxico, the son of Charles and Mary. A Smith Rowley. He lived in Topeka most of his life. Mr. Rowley was a military veteran of World War II. He was a life member of Topeka Lodge No. 17 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion, and Philip Billard Post No. 1650, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was married to Irene J. Wilson in 1940. She died Sept. 27, 1979. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2 pm. Monday at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Topeka Lodge 17 AF & AM will provide Masonic services. Mr. Rowley will lie in state after noon today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital and sent in care of Arab Temple, 1305 S,. Kansas Ave, 66612. (Attached handwritten note from Marilyn Spongberg says: "Kenneth Rowley lived with my grandparents in the 1930s - was married to Irene and had no children. Charles Worthy Rowley's son." ).
