"In the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Moss Rowley, wife of C. Lynn Rowley which occurred Saturday evening at the W.C.A. hospital, the community loses an estimable woman whose life was devoted to the most useful work in the world, the training of little children to become good men and women.
Mrs. Rowley leaves a family of four children. Two are her own. The other two are the son and daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Fred C. Purcell whose tragic death in an automobile accident in Buffalo was noted in the newspapers some years ago. These little children were deeply attached to Mr. and Mrs. Rowley and as there were no near relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Rowley took them in their home.
Mrs. Rowley has resided in Jamestown 25 years and in that time she has made a wide circle of friends who learn with the keenest sorrow of her untimely death and who will extend to be bereaved family their most heartfelt sympathy."
