LEBO Frances Jacqueline Jackie Rowley, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at the Life Care Center in Burlington. She was born May 10, 1920, in Greenfield, Missouri, the daughter of Richard C. and Rozetta Jones Montgomery. Jackie graduated from Wichita North High School in 1937. She married Fred T. Rowley, Sr, July 3, 1937, in Wichita. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2005. They lived in Wichita after their marriage before moving to a farm south of Lebo in 1951. She was a clerk for Gibson Discount Center in Emporia in the mid 1960s and worked there many years. She had held membership in various local organizations in the past and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a son, Fred T. Rowley, Jr. and his wife Jean, Lebo; a sister, Lois Boyer, Torrence, California; three grandchildren and their families, Brian and Beck Rowley, and Breckyn, Brynna and Brogan, Sheri and Mike VanArsdale and Whitney and Garrett, and Sharla and Ed Stockwell and Brady and Brett. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Turlington and a brother, Richard Montgomery. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 6, 2009, at the Lebo United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. She will lie in state from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lebo United Methodist Church Music Fund and sent in care of the funeral home at P O Box 43, Lebo, KS 66856.
