Russell Wesley McKnight, 61, of Indiana, Pa, died Monday, April 17,
2006, at his residence.

Born Oct. 19, 1944, in Natrona Heights, Harrison, to Elizabeth
"Betty" Rowley McKnight of Freeport, and the late Russell McKnight,
he lived in Indiana since 1962.

Mr. McKnight graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in
1967, and obtained his master's degree before becoming a school
teacher.

He was a member of Freeport United Methodist Church and was an avid
sports fan, especially football. He also enjoyed following and
talking politics.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his aunt, Jean R.
Buechner of Freeport; and three cousins, George (Carol) Buechner of
West Union, W.Va, Daniel (Joanne) Buechner of Brandon, Fla, and
Mandy (Michael) Allen of Norfolk, Va.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandmother, who
helped raise him, Carrie Rowley.

Family and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the DENNIS
J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St, Freeport, 724-295-3100.
Graveside funeral and committal ceremonies will be at 1:30 p.m. in
Freeport Cemetery with the Rev. William C. Mumaw officiating.
