ADAMS CENTER -- Harry H. Mantle, 75, Dry Hill, died at 9 Sunday night at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where had been a patient one week, after returning from Florida two weeks previously.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 pm. at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with burial in Honeyville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.
Surviving are a brother, Elwyn Mantle, Pierrepont Manor; four sisters, Mrs. Laura M. Collins, Mrs. Dorothy M. Richmond and Mrs. Florence M. Hazelwood, all of Adams Center, and Mrs. Howard (Zylpha) M. Stedman, Rodman; nieces and nephews
Born June 30, 1894 at Dry Hill, Town of Rodman, a son of William W. and Florence Dillin Mantle, he was graduated from Adams Center High School and operated a farm at Dry Hill all his life. Poor health necessitated his retirement from farming in 1963, after which he spend his winters in Florida.
Mr. Mantle was a member of the local grande, Rodman United Church of Christ and held offices at different times."
