Miss Sally Knapp died at Canaseraga, N. Y, January 14th, 1905, aged 98 years. She was a daughter of Daniel Knapp and Lydia, a daughter of Solomon Morris, Sr, of Warsaw. Her father was one of the pioneers of the town, coming here in 1806, where he resided until his death in 1858.
'Aunt Sally', as she was familiarly called, lived in Warsaw during her long life and with one exception, was at the time of her death the oldest woman in town. She was bright, active, and her health exceptionally good, finally passing away from old age. Her funeral took place in Trinity Church on Monday afternoon, Rev. S. Gatley officiating, with interment in Warsaw cemetery. Last November she went to Caneseraga to live with her niece, Mrs. Mindy. Her 93rd birthday was last Friday."

Mundy, last Saturday morning, of paralysis, Miss Sarah Knapp, aged 93 years and one day. Deceased was born in Warsaw, Wyoming Co, N.Y. Her father was Daniel Knapp, a revolutionary soldier. She had lived mostly at Warsaw until 3 months ago, when she came to reside with her niece, Mrs. Mundy, who has tenderly cared for her.
She was in her usual health until the evening before, when she complained of distress in her head and the next morning she was unconscious and remained so until the end. Miss Knapp identified herself with Universalist church in early life and led an exemplary Christian life. Having a pleasant, genial disposition, she was unusually esteemed by all who knew her. She was a great reader and was well verse in the bible and could always give reasons for the beliefs which she held. She was a paid subscriber to the Universalist Leader for 73 years. She read current literature and took much interest in passing events. Hers was a life which makes for the betterment of mankind. He nearest living relatives are five nephews, James B. Knapp, of Washington, D.C, Seymour, Homer, Daniel and James Babcock and three nieces, Mrs. Lucia A. Baker, of Buffalo, Mrs. Egbert Gors, of Dixon, Tenn, Mrs. Mundy, of this village. Her remains were taken to Warsaw Sunday morning for burial."
