CM076. Find-A-Grave (cemetery records) as contributed by the public; published on the internet at http://www.findagrave.com/, by. K. Clinard, contributor. "Henry Klock was born in Herkimer county, N. Y, on August 6, 1850, and died at Hartford, Michigan, on March 30, 1925, at the age of 74 years, 7 months, 24 days.
He resided in Herkimer county until he was 21 years of age, and after learning the carpenter's trade he resided a time in Wisconsin, coming later to South Haven, Michigan. He was married March 20, 1890, to Miss Margaret F. Worthington of South Haven. Five children were born of this union, three of whom died in early infancy. The mother died on June 23, 1903 at South Haven, where the family had resided for thirteen years. In 1907 the family removed to Ethridge, Tenn, where on October 31, 1912 he was married to Mrs. Lydia M. Worthington. After living in Ethridge for about nine years they came to De Ruyter, N. Y, and in 1917 they removed from there to Hartford, Michigan.
He died very suddenly of heart trouble on March 30, 1925. Those who are left to mourn him are his wife, two children, Ester Lucile Klock and Edward Worthington Klock. A sister, Mrs. W. H. Brown of N. Y. also survives. Mr. Klock had made many friends who respected him highly for his industry and integrity of character, and he will be sadly missed from the circle of neighbors.
Funeral services were conducted at the residence on Wednesday, April 1, by Rev. John Balfour and were attended by relatives from South Haven, Kalamazoo, and Parma; also friends and neighbors. Burial was at Lake View Cemetery, South Haven, Michigan. ."

N33. The Hartford Day Spring (MI), via Findagrave.com (newspaper, obituaries) as transcribed and published at Findagrave.com, 1925 Sept 2, page 7. "Mrs. Lydia M. Klock
Lydia May Miles, the youngest daughter of Fabius and Bethial Miles, was born in Hartford, Michigan, on May 27, 1859 and after an illness of about two weeks passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Minshall, on August 26, 1925, aged 66 years and three months.
In August, 1876, she was married to J. M. Worthington and moved to South Haven and later to East Jordan. To this union were born six children, two of whom survive, Mrs. Mabel Minshall of Hartford and Mrs. Florine Groner of Parma. The other daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Bessie Sheldon in 1922, Marion Worthington in 1898, Mrs. Vannie Chapman in 1904 and Maggie Worthington in 1900.
In 1885 Mr. Worthington passed away in East Jordan and the family returned to the old Miles homestead northeast of Hartford.
In 1912 she married Henry Klock and assumed the responsibility of mothering his two small children, Esther and Edward Klock. Mr. Klock passed away on March 30 of this year.
With the exception of a few years in the south and east, she had spent her entire life in the vicinity of Hartford. In 1912, while a resident of Ethridge, Tenn, she united with the M. E. church (South).
She was a loving and devoted mother, friend and neighbor, whose Christianity was of the heart and not of the lips. The testimony of her children and friends bears witness to a life of self-sacrificing love and service.
Those left to mourn her departure besides her children are: Two nieces, Mrs. Isabelle Boyer of Evanston, Ill, and Mrs. Clyde Smith of Bangor; four nephews, Harrison Balfour of Watervliet and Grover, Leland, and Arthur Balfour of Bangor, three grandchildren Margaret and Marshall Minshall and Ruth Louise Groner, and a large group of neighbors and friends to whom her fine character and pleasing personality had endeared her.
Thus closes a life, which in the words of a relative, was summed up as one full of courage, optimism, and good works.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minshall on Friday, August 28, Rev. J. H. Balfour officiating with interment at Maple Hill. Many relatives and friends gathered to pay their last respects to her memory, and floral offerings of the loveliest testified abundantly to the esteem in which she was held. Music was contributed by Carleton and Carson Minshall of Dowagiac, with Mrs. Carleton Minshall as accompanist. ."
