N29. Tully Times (NY), (newspaper) digital scans published on the internet at fultonhistory.com, 1927 Nov. 17. "Mrs. Franklin Rowley / Mrs. Lydia Griffeth Mosher Rowley passed away at her home in Fabius November 10th after an illness of several weeks. She was the daughter of Rev. Ansil and Almira McK, Griffeth and born in Clayton February 6, 1850. During her father's pastorate at Sum_ Hill she met and married William Mosher with whom she spent many years and after his death she married Franklin B. Rowley of Fabius. Twenty-three years of contented and happy companionship was allowed them.
She is survived by her husband and his family; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Marsh of Philadelphia and Mrs. Frank Crosby, of Bear Lake, Pa; also several nieces and nephews.
She once said "Possibly God gave her no children of her own but that she could be 'Grandma' to all other children. Certainly she was "Grandma" Rowley to old and young in the village.
The funeral was held at the Baptist church, Rev. H. Victor Kane officiating; Mrs. KANE sang two beautiful solos. The well filled church showed the high esteem in which "Grandma" was held. Burial in the family plot at Fabius Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives from out of town to attend the services were Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Crosby of Bear Lake, Pa, who helped care for her the last two weeks. Mrs. Alta Grace Ellis of Philadelphia, Mrs. and Mrs. Mason Berry of LaFayette, Sergt. Leslie Griffeth and family and Mrs. Cora Hayes and two daughters of Syracuse."
