(Margaret) Maxine Evans Rupert, age 82 of Prosser, entered into rest on December 30, 2008 at Grandview Health Care Center. She was born on November 8, 1926 in Portland, Oregon to Clarence C and Blanche Ida Bushnell Evans. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland in 1944 and then attended Washington State College (now University) where she majored in music and received a B.A. in Education in 1948. She taught school in Randal and Kittitas before her marriage to Arthur Rupert on June 6, 1953 when she made her home in Prosser. Maxine taught elementary education, music, and remedial reading in Prosser and Whitstran for twenty-five years.
Maxine enjoyed gardening (especially roses), genealogy, collecting porcelain as well as knick-knacks..."
