Pavilion, April 8 - Mrs. Amanda Cheney, widow of Edward Cheney of Union Corners, died at 10:30 a.m. yesterday at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Grant Hutchinson, with whom she had lived a year. Her age was 82 years.
Mrs. Cheney was a daughter of Ezra Terrell, who settled at Union Corners in 1810. Mrs. Cheney was born there. He aunt, Miss Laura Terrell, was the first schoolteacher in Pavilion, Mrs. Cheney was married in 18__ and for 65 years lived on one farm. She had but one daughter, who married James Nobles, and who died in 1872. Mrs. Cheney's nearest surviving relatives are her granddaughter, Mrs. Hutchinson. and a grandson, Edward C. Nobles of Washington State. On Washington's birthday this year, she sustained a shock of paralysis and had since sunk rapidly.
The funeral will be held from Mrs. Hutchinson's house at 1 p.m. tomorrow, the Rev. Mr. Palmet__r of Perry officiating. The burial will be in Maplewood cemetery at Union Corners."

Mrs. Amanda Cheney, one of the oldest residents of Pavilion, died Sunday, aged 82 years. She was born at Union Corners in the east part of town, and resided on the same farm sixty -five years. Her husband, Edward Cheney, died nine years ago. For the last year she had resided with her granddaughter, Mrs. Grant Hutchinson, in Pavilion village. During this time she has been in failing health, and since the 22nd of February had been confined to her room Besides Mrs. Hutchinson she leaves a grandson, Edward T Nobles of Washington."
