Martha E. Burtner, 95, of Sarver, formerly of Natrona Heights, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Fairwinds Manor, Winfield Township. Mrs. Burtner was born Saturday, Feb. 22, 1913, in Natrona, a daughter of the late Peter and Hilma Swanson Johnson. She was a 1932 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She worked as a ward clerk for 24 years at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights. She loved dogs and, because of that love, she boarded dogs for people. She also enjoyed traveling and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Betty L. (William) Rebhum, of Buffalo Township; two sisters, Wilma Heutchy, of Sarver, and Sally Bargerstock, of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Rae Ann (Alvin) Cline, of Welch, W.Va, Jennifer (Michael) Kearns, of Sigel, and Karen Maldonado, of Niceville, Fla; three great-grandchildren, Desiree' and Cameron Cline and Daniel Maldonado; and one great-great -grandchild, Audrianna Nowlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond O. Burtner, who died Sept. 26, 1962; brother, Harvey Johnson; and two sisters, Gertrude Johnson and Dorothy Gibson. Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC, 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, 724-224-7730, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Barbara Ravenstahl officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights."WWW.
