Leonie (Wery Koppelo) Van Wijk (1910 - 2007)
"LEONIE VAN WIJK OCT. 17, 1910 - DEC. 31, 2007 Leonie was born in Rosland, Kansas, then lived in Michigan for 20 yrs, and finally settled in California. She last lived in Fillmore until 2001 when she came to Modesto to live at Bethel Retirement Community to be near nephew Bruce and wife Ana Dillon. She was preceded in death by 1st husband of 45 years Raymond Koppelo and 2nd husband Cornelius Van Wijk. Leonie had a very positive outlook on life and showed us all by example, how to take things in stride and live life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Leonie will be laid to rest at Bardsdale Cemetery, 1698 S. Sespe St., Fillmore, CA on Wed., Jan. 9th at 3:00 p.m. with a graveside service."
