"WALTER J. HILLS, vice president of the Peck & Hills Furniture company, died yesterday at his Chicago residence, 829 Montrose boulevard. He was 48 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2701 North Clark Street Monday at 2 p.m."

Jay Curdy Hills (1872 - 1949)
"Services for Jay C. Hills, 77, founder and former president of the Peck and Hills Furniture company 1353 S Wabash Ave, were held yesterday in New York. Mr. Hills died Monday of a heart ailment in Flushing hospital, Queens, NY. His home was in Pasadena, Cal. He retired as president of the furniture company in 1932. Surviving are the widow Jane and a son Gerald T of Los Angeles."
