"Gertrude L. Bates
WADSWORTH - Gertrude L. Bates (nee Rowley), 451 1/2 State St., died April 30 at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Rockingham, Vt., Mrs. Bates resided in Wadsworth 10 years, previously residing in Akron. She had been a private duty nurse for 20 years and was a member of the East Market Street Church of Christ and the Bedford Grange.
Preceded in death by husband, Ernest D. she is survived by daughter, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Roxbury, of Wadsworth; step-son, Victor F., of Akron; grandson, Daniel R., of Noblesville, _nd.; granddaughters, Mrs. Joseph (Rebecca) Burza, of Barberton, Miss Naomi Roxbury, of Lodi; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Zetta Polcen, Brunswick.
the family will be present to receive friends at the Hilliard-Cox Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Wadsworth, Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held Wednesday 1 p.m., Rev. Truman E. Parker officiating. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Kvams Kamp, in care of Mrs. James Lowry, 4219 Johnson rd., Norton, Ohio 44203."

Howard Edison Parrot (1904 - 1982)


"Howard E. Parrot
Howard E. Parrot, 77, died suddenly Jan. 11.
He was born in Mt. Eaton, and lived in the Akron area since 1937. Mr. Parrot belonged to the Downtown Kiwanis, Coventry Lodge NO. 665 F&AM, Yusef Khan Grotto, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was president of Kenmore Lumber, and Summit Construction and Fixture Company.
He was preceded in death by his son, H. Marty Parrot in 1977; and is survived by his wife, Bonnie A.; son, G. Thomas of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; eight grandchildren; brother, Dr. George Parrot of Texas; and sister, Ruth Rowley of California.
Services will be Thursday, 1 p.m., at the Billows Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, Dr. Harry D. Rose officiating. Interment Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home TONIGHT from 7 to 9 p.m., where Coventry Lodge services will be held at 7 p.m. (Billows, Fairlawn, 867-4141.)"

"Bonnie A. Parrot
Bonnie A. Parrot, 92, died September 30, 1999. Born in Byesville, Ohio, she was formerly of Copley and had been active with the Copley Senior Citizens Group.
Preceded in death by husband, Howard E., in 1982, son, H. Marty and two grandsons, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, G. Thomas and Yvonne Parrot; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jeanne Wheeler; grandchildren, Suzie Cushing, Thomas Parrot, Cathy Kosley, Becky Jahrid, Bob Parrot, Jack Parrot and Jeff Parrot, and seven great grandchildren. Special thanks to her loving caregiver, Lina Moneypenny
A funeral service will be held 1pm. MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Juliana (Merchant) Rudesill (1918 - 2009)


"Juliana M. Spohn, 90, passed away May 5, 2009.
Born in New York City, she was a long time Cuyahoga Falls resident, who worked as a secretary at the American Heart Association .
Preceded in death by husband, J. Donald Spohn, she is survived by son, Jim of Cuyahoga Falls; sister, Marjorie Nelson of Logan, Utah; brother, Bill Goddard of California; grandchildren, Anne (J.B.) Sparks and Peter (Jen) Spohn; as well as five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9,2009 at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association."

George Thomas "Tom" Parrot (1929 - 2013)


"G. Thomas Parrot, 83, passed away January 31, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.
He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Yvonne; his daughter, Suzanne Troxel (Bob) of Athens, Ohio and his son, Thomas M. Parrot of Avon Lake; granddaughter, Nicole Parrot of North Carolina; grandsons, Sean and Steven Parrot of Ohio; special sisters-in-law, Linda Kovach (Gene) of Ohio, Annabelle Bingham of Florida, Jeanne Wheeler of Colorado; four nephews and four nieces; also special friends, Bob and Sara Albright. He was preceded in death by a son, parents, a brother and a nephew.
He will never be forgotten!
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. MONDAY."
