"King Rowley, 39, of 1059 63rd Street, was dead in his bed yesterday, a victim of the cold. He had gone to bed without turning off a heater in the room and the fire apparently consumed all the oxygen in the room."

"Berkeleyan Dies After 12-Foot Fall
BERKELEY, Aug. 5— Hugh B. Rowley, 62, of 546 Vistamont Ave., died today of injuries received after an apparent fall 12 feed from a porch he was building at the side of his home.
A civilian auditor for the United States Air Force, he was pronounced dead on arrival at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Oakland."
