William R. Curtis (1847 - 1932)
"William R. Curtis William R. Curtis, aged 85, a resident of Pulaski, died Friday at the Erie Soldier's Home, after an illness of two months. He was a veteran of the Civil War, 38 New Jersey Volunteers.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Rowley Curtis, a daughter Mrs. Ralph Goddard and three grandchildren of Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Goddard Home in Pulaski, with rev. William C. Parsons, pastor of the Pulaski Presbyterian church, and Rev. Henry Shillings of the Pulaski Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be made in the Pulaski cemetery."

Robert M. Scott (1903 - 1971)
"Robert M. Scott
VANDERGRIFT — Robert M. Scott, 68, of 120 Madison Ave. died yesterday at 5:20 p.m. following a lengthy illnees.
He was born in Desire, pa., Jan. 7, 1903 to Harry C. and Minnie Lipsie Scott.
He was employed for 35 years at U.S. Steel as a schedyle foreman and also worked for the Department of Industry in Pennsylvania for the past eight years. He was a memeber of the the First United Methodist Church and former Republican committee chairman and board member of the Vandergrift-Kiski Area School board.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Beatty Scott: two daughters Mrs. Charles (Mickie) Zarganis of Ft. Ord, Calif, and Mrs. Janie Scott of Ellicott City, Md.; a brother, Edward of Rome, N.Y: four sisters Mrs. Helen Goodbread of Leechburg RD 3, Mrs. Martin (Anna) Cannon of Vandergrift, Mrs. Charles L. Gagen of New Castle and Miss Ina Scott of Washington, D.C.; his stepmother Mrs. Laverna Scott of Vandergrift(,) and one granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave. from 7 to 9 p.m. today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, when services will be conducted by the Rev. William Hess, followed by burial in Spring Church Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made in Mr. Scott's memory to the First United Methodist Church."

Victoria Laverna (Burtner) Scott (1889 - 1975)
"Mrs. Laverna Scott
VANDERGRIFT, Pa. — Mrs. LaVerna Burtner Scott, 85, of 178 Franklin Ave., died at 11 a.m. on Monday in Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights following an illness.
She was born in Freeport, PA., on Dec. 6, 1889, to the late George A. and Anna Alter Burtner.
Mrs. Scott attended the First United Methodist Church, and was an amateur astrologer and member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Her husband H. Clyde Scott died in 1971.
She is survived by a son Edward C. (Ted) of Rome, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Cannon of Vandergrift, Mrs. Charles (Olga) Gagen of New Castle and Miss Inga Scott of Canberra, Australia; a stepdaughter Mrs. William (Helen) Goodbread of Leechburg RD 2; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Mrs. Vivian West in 1940, and a stepson Robert Scott in 1971.
Friends will be received at the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave., from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday. The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. William Hess of the church. Burial will be in the cemetery in Apollo, Pa."
