Edgar Wakeman Cassity (1894 - 1977)
Cassity Service Sunday at 2 p.m. Edgard W. Cassity, 83, 602 Williams, died early Friday at Hedrick Medical Center.
Born Dec. 27, 1893, near Milan, he was the son of Isaac Newton Cassity and Elizabeth Smith Cassity.
On Dec. 24, 1923, he was married to Mabel Smart, who survives the home home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Franklin Switzer, St. Catherine and Mrs. John Patten, Laclede, a son, Donald Cassity, Kansas City, Kans., a sister. Mrs. Grove Thompson, Brookfield, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Wright Funeral Home in Laclede, with services conducted by Reb. Terry Stephens.
Burial will be in the Laclede cemetery, under the direction of the Wright Funeral Home in Laclede."
