LINCOLON — (pns) — The funeral for Fletcher Taft, 48, of R.R. 3, Lincoln, who died suddenly following an operation at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Holland and Barry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ehme Osterbur officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery."

Herma A. (Sahs) Taft (1909 - 1959)


"Mrs. Herma Taft
Lincoln - (PNS) - Mrs. Herma Taft, 50, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ehme Osterbuhr officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening at Holland and Barry Funeral Home.
She was born July 9, 1909 in Lincoln, a daughter of Charles and Anna Gruenwald Sahs. She was married to Fletcher I. Taft July 20, 1947 in Lincoln. He died Sept. 18, 1957.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Donald and Robert Bauer and Susan Taft, all of Lincoln; a stepson and two stepdaughters; William, Mrs. Sandra Carol. and Diane Taft, all of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Marie King, Canton; three stepbrothers, Larry and Van Shepler, Lincoln; Harold F Shepler, Tucson, Ariz., and a stepsisters, Mrs. Martha Brown, Lincoln. There are two grandchildren."
