Edwin Forest Price (1867 - 1940)
"DR. EDWIN PRICE Edwin F. price, M.D., 72, of 216 West Ninth Street, died last night at his home. He was born in Ellsworth, Iowa, and was a graduate of the medical school of Iowa State University. He practiced medicine in Ellsworth and later established his practice for 21 years in Alcester, S.D., removing to Tacoma and Morton, Wash., and coming to Long Beach in 1921 and continuing his medical activity until recently. He was a member of the Wilshire Congregational Church, Los Angeles, and belonged to Alcester Lodge, A.F. & A.M., and Scottish Rite Freemasons at Yankton, S.D., and was affiliated with the Mystic Shrine at Sioux Falls, S.D.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Flo Price; two sisters, Mrs. Julia P. Miller, Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Harry Pitzer, Ellsworth, Iowa.
The funeral service will be directed by Daniel B. Mottell Mortuary, with entombment in Angeles Abbey Mausoleum."
