"Mrs. Sophrona Andrews Died of Diabetes at Her Home on Boss Street, In Bolivar, Friday Morning, Aged 68 Years.
Mrs. Sophrona Andrews
The funeral was held at the house at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. G. A. Bond of the M.E. church officiating. The Trilby Rebekah lodge, of which the deceased was a member, attended the services in a body. There were many beautiful flowers, including a floral wreath from the Rebekas...[the burial was in] Kennedy, N.Y. in the family plot. Rev. E.S. Way delivered a prayer at the grave.
Mrs. Andrews was born at Hindsdale, N.Y., Nov. 19, 1841. She was married in 1865 to Orrin Andrews at Bath. Two children were born to them, one of whom survives, Miss Olive Andrews of Bolivar. The deceased also leaves two brothers, Willis Fay of Port Allegany and Jerome Fay of San Francisco, Cal. Mrs. Andrews was a kind, Christian woman who was held in highest esteem by all who knew her. She leaves many friends to mourn her death."
