Charles Henry Rowley (1864 - 1920)


"Charles Rowley Hangs Himself in Cresbard Elevator
Cresbard. Dec. 11 Charles Rowley, manager of the Farmer's Elevator company, of Cresbard, hanged himself early this morning in the shops of the company here.
No motive is known for the suicide of Rowley, friends and relatives declare. Last night he attended the Masonic lodge until one a.m. and this morning, it is said, he seemed cheerful. His body was found shortly after ten a.m. today.
Surviving Mr. Rowley are his wife and a boy, aged 13."

Frederick James Fedderson (1879 - 1967)


"Fedderson Funeral Held
Services for Frederick J. Fedderson, 88, Cresbard were Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Cresbard with the Rev. James W. Patton officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Cowhick were soloists, and Mrs. Delmar Kono, organist.
Pallbearers were Loren Toennis, Leslie Shew, Walter Peterson, Dale Besbee, Robert Holm and Bruce Carson.
Ushers were Vernon Cowwell and Merlvin Toennis.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. A Masonic service was conducted by Eric Nystrom, of Faulkton.
Frederick J. Fedderson was born April 27, 1879 in Union County, Dakota Territory. He married Louella Rowley in 1909. She died in 1918. He married Anna Anderson on May 14, 1923. He has lived in Cresbard since 1915. He was a member of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, and a 55-year-member of the Masonic Lodge, of which he was a past master.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. John (Helen) Rodine, Aberdeen; Mrs. Daniel (Lou Ann) Kelly, Ardsley, N.Y.; and Mrs. James (Lois) Hill, Walnut Creek, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Fedderson died Friday at the American Nursing Center."

"C.G. Rowley Dies at 62
Charles G. Rowley, 62, Sioux Falls, general manager of the Northern Wholesale Co., died Thursday in Sioux falls Hospital.
Mass will be said at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sioux Falls and burial will be at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart cemetery here.
Mr. Rowley began his affiliation with Northern Wholesale in Aberdeen in 1935 as a salesman. He moved to Sioux Falls in 1946."

"Mrs. Fred Fedderson
FUNERAL services for Mrs. Fred (Anna) Fedderson, 83, Cresbard, will be Saturday, May 11, at 4 p.m., at the United Merthodist Church in Cresbard with the Rev. Harold W. Wagar officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Fedderson died Thursday morning at Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.
The body will lie in state at the Gates-Vik Funeral Home from 1 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday. The casket will be open at the church prior to the service.
Anna Anderson was born June 12, 1890, in Sweden. She came to the United States and lived in Illinois with her parents. Later the family moved to Houghton. She was married to Fred Fedderson on May 14, 19213, in Abedeen and the couple resided at Cresbard. Mr. Fedderson died in 1967.
Mrs. Fedderson had been a patient at the Mother Joseph Manor for only a few days. She was a member of the Cresbard United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of the Cresbard Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was superintendent of the church cradle roll for over 25 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John (Helen) Rodine, Aberdeen'; Mrs. Dan (Lou Ann) Kelly, Ardsley, N.Y.; and Mrs. James (Lois) Hill, Alamo, Calif., and seven grandchildren."

Mrs. Ronald Bierman was the soloist and Mrs. Delmar Kono was the organist. Melvin Harris was the usher.
Pallbearers were Craig Kreschmar, Loren, Merlvin and Mark Toennies, Walter Petersen, and Don Bisbee.
Burial was in Riverside memorial Park in Aberdeen under the direction of the Gates-Vik Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fedderson died May 9 at Mother Joseph Manor.
Past matron and members of the Golden Rule Chapter 108 of O.E.S. attended in a group."
