Brownie Troop 1213, sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Van Nuys, celebrated its first birthday with a ceremony and party at the church social hall. First Presbyterian to Receive Group at Two Palm Sunday Services
A total of 34 new members will be received by the First Presbyterian Church of Van Nuys at its morning worship services at 11 a.m. Palm Sunday....

"Vacations are being enjoyed by Voyagers
Winding up vacation trips to various locales are members of the S.S. Voyagers of First Presbyterian Church of Van Nuys.
The Roy Rowley family will be back just in time for their children to return to studies next week. Mrs. Rowley and daughters Marlene and Carol spent the month of August at Carpenteria. They were joined there by Mr. Rowley and their son last week end and are now in the Big Sur country for the remainder of vacation time.

"Scouts Ship Books to Library in Germany
As a result of an international exchange of letters between young people San Fernando Valley Girl Scout Troop 27 is shipping a box full of selected American books to the International Youth Library in Munich, Germany. The troop sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Van Nuys, raised its own funds for the purchase of the volumes and enlisted the aid of children's librarian Alberine Stone in selection of the titles...
