"At the home of his daughter, in Elmira, Monday, occurred the death of William Seymour Babcock, aged 84 years. He was born in the town of Dansville, this county, and lived there until twelve years ago, following the occupation of farming. Since then he had made his home with his son, Geo D. Babcock, in Campbell. Mr. Babcock served with the 136th regiment in the Civil War. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. H.D. McIntyre of Elmira, and two sons, George D., of Campbell and W.W. Babcock, of the Babcock Manufacturing Company, Bath. The funeral will be held at Campbell at the home of his son there at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning, the remains being taken to South Dansville for burial."
