A brother in New York and a sister in Topeka besides many friends at Paxico and Wamego. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon and largely attended.

Another loved one has departed
To that bright and happy shore,
On the border land we left him
Soon to meet and part no more.
He has gone to brighter regions
Safe from every grief and care
But you'll meet again in heaven,
And nevermore be parted there.
Ah his wife and children miss him.
When they see that vacant place,
And recall the look of kindness,
On his ever cheerful face.
But weep not for his toils are over
He has left a world of care
And soon you'll meet the missing loved one
In our Father's mansion fair.

—Card of Thanks.—
