"Mrs. Lorene Babcock Clarke, sister of O. J. Babcock of Brookfield, died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. W. W. Davis, Dallas, Tex., June 2d. Word has been received that the remains are being brought to Brookfield for burial."

"Mary M. Bettinger Services were held April 24 for Mary M.Bettinger, 79, of Creek Rd., Chittenango, who died April 22[.]
A life resident of the Town of Sullivan, Mrs. Bettinger had been a waitress at the Ham Than Am Ham restaurant and later worked as a bus driver for the Chittenango schools.
She was a member of the Chittenango United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Jacob Bettinger of Sherrill, Arthur and George Bettinger, both of Chittenango; three brothers, George and Gerald Mantell, both of Chittenango, and Harold Mantell of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Grace Van Slyke of Sun City, Ariz., nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to the Chittenango Fire Dept. ambulance fund or the American Lung Assn.
Arrangements were handled by Tyler-Traub Funeral Home, Chittenango."
