Rhoda (Knapp) Cross (1810 - 1899)
"Mrs. Rhoda Cross, one of the pioneers of Wyoming county, died at her residence in Perry on Friday evening, aged 89 years. She was born in Warsaw in 1810 where she lived for many years She was the second daughter of the late William Knapp who came to Warsaw in 1806 and was one of its first settlers. Mrs. Eunice C. Smead of Buffalo is her only surviving sister. Two nephews, William M. Bingham of Warsaw and Charles O. Atherton of Moscow; three nieces, Mrs. James O. McClure, Mrs. Maryette A. Older, both of Warsaw and Mrs. Herbert H. Brooks of Buffalo are the other near surviving relatives. Mrs. Cross was a sample woman of the past generation. Possessed of a strong mind, she kept fully abreast of the issues of the day and to the time of her death had lost none of her faculties. Always a consistent member of the Methodist church, she lived up to its tenets and died in its faith. Her funeral took place Sunday in Perry, with interment at Warsaw."

James Beckenridge Knapp (1855 - 1910)
"WARSAW PRINTER DEAD James B. Knapp, who for many years was an expert in the government printing office, died in Washington on Tuesday last, and was buried in Buffalo, his former home, Friday. Mr. Knapp learned his trade in the old Wyoming County Democrat office at Warsaw, where he was born, and he will be remembered by the printers who worked in the Warsaw office thirty years ago."

Mary Adalaide (Prentice) Watrous (1848 - 1931)
"Mrs. Mary Adelaide Watrous Mrs. Mary Adelaide Watrous, aged 84, widow of Adelbert Watrous, died at her home, 58 Borden avenue, Thursday night of paralysis, following a several months illness. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the house, with burial at Perry Center. Rev. Niels G. Madsen of the Congregational Church officiated.
Mrs. Watrous was born August 10, 1846 at Nunda. She was the daughter of John and Ann Eliza Burroughs Prentice. For several years she lived with her parents at Saline, Mich. where her parents had moved.
On Dec. 20, 1870 she was united in marriage to Adelbert Watrous and lived on the Watrous homestead on the Perry Center-Warsaw road, until Mr. Perry passed away in 1909 when she moved to this village. With the exception of four years she had since made her home at 58 Borden avenue.
Mrs. Watrous was the oldest member of the Congregational Church and represented a generation and neighborhood at Sucker Brook, known for the high character of its people, their home-loving instincts and their unselfish contribution to public welfare. For many months she had been confined to the house where she was given tender care by the son and daughter, Albert R. and Miss Ida, who survive. Her only sister, Sara Elizabeth, passed away in 1923."

"Mrs. Harriette J. Buckland, widow of Dwight H. Buckland, passed away at 7 a.m., Friday morning at the home of her only son Walter Buckland."

"Gainesville Happenings... Mrs. Genevra Russell
Mrs. Genevra Russell, aged 75, passed away at her home Friday night at 10 o'clock after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 9, at 2:30 in her home. Arthur Baldick conducted the services.
She leaves two sons, Howard and Clifford Russell of this town; four daughters, Miss Ethel Russell of this village, Mrs. Fanny Steele, Clarkson; Miss Bessie Barton, Frewsburg, and Mrs. Bealar (sic) Baldeck. Also several grandchildren. The funeral was in the family lot in Maple Grove cemetery."

Ida E. Watrous (1872 - 1942)
"Miss Ida Watrous
Death of Miss Ida Watrous, 70, lifetime resident of Perry, occurred on Wednesday, April 22. Miss Watrous had been in failing health for the past five years and had made her home during that time with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Watrous, 47 Borden Avenue, where death occurred.
She was born in Perry on Feb. 12, 1872, one of two children of Adelbert and Addie Prentice Watrous. She was an accomplished musician and many Perry pianists owe their talent to her teaching. Miss Watrous was a member of the Perry Center Congregational Church.
Funeral Services will be held from Eaton's Funeral Home in Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock."
