Levi D. Lamb (1871 - 1963)
"LEVI LAMB DIES AT 91
VERNON — Levi D. Lamb, 91, Seneca Turnpike, died Tuesday afternoon in a Rome Hospital. He was born in Mc Donough, N.Y. June 16, 1871, son of Albertus and Elizabeth Crandall Lamb.
He was married to Isabel B. Cagwin, February 6, 1895. Mrs. Lamb died July 8, 1952. He had been a resident of Vernon and vicinity for the past 59 years and was a carpenter before his retirement. He was a member of the carpenter's union.
Surviving are a son, Carlton C. Lamb, Rochester, three daughters, Mrs. Sadie Ringham, (illegible could be Verona or Vernon), Mrs. Edward (Marjorie) Mantor, Pratts Hollow; and Mrs. (illegible) (Goldie) Day, Messengers Bay, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at the Alger Funeral Home, Vernon Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Floyd Gotjen, pastor of the Vernon Methodist Church, officiating. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in Verona Cemetery."

Vernon — Mrs. Isabel B. Lamb, 89, died this morning in the Oneida City Hospital, where she had been confined since sustaining injuries in a recent fall at her home.
She was born March 10, 1863 in Verona, the daughter of Marenus and Jane Benedict Cagwin.
On Feb. 6, 1895, in Norwich, she was married to Levi D. Lamb. The family moved from Verona Station to Vernon in 1914.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Carleton C. Lamb, Rochester; three daughters, Mrs. Sadie Ringham, at home, Mrs. Edward (Marjorie) Mantor, Eagle Bay; Mrs. Cecil (Goldie) Day, Massengers Bay; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Arrangments in charge of H. R. Alger, Vernon are incomplete."
