"Hiram P. Hall Killed in Fall from Wagon
Aged Akron Resident Expires Shortly After Being Found Unconscious in Road.
Akron, Jan. 5 — (Special)— Hiram P. Hall, a resident of this town for many years, is dead as the result of a fall from his wagon while returning to his home from the village last night. Mr. Hall's son, Professor C.F. Hall, and wife, of River Rouge, Mich., had spent the holidays with his parents and yesterday the father drove to the railroad station with the son, who was to return to his home. Mrs. Hall, the mother, also returned to River Rouge.
After bidding the family good-bye, Mr. Hall, who was 70 years old, started for home. Within a short distance of his residence he fell from the wagon and struck the ground on his head. He was rendered unconscious. A few minutes later he was discovered by neighbors, who saw the driverless team, and investigated. He was removed to the house and died without regaining consciousness.
Arrangement for the funeral have not been completed."
