"Leroy Mantle, 57, Harrisville, father of Miss Marie Mantle, this village, died June 23, in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. He had been a patient two weeks.
He was born in the Town of Diana, a son of James and Clara Gasby Mantle, and always lived there.
On Oct. 11, 1906, he married Jennie Mullin, who survives with these children: Hilton, with the U.S. forces in Alaska, Wayne, U.S. Army, Fort Bragg, N.C., Orren with the armed forces at Pearl Harbor; Lawrence; Hailesboro(?); Berne, Gouverneur; Ralph, Beaver Falls; Roy, Diana; Marie,Lowville; Miss Helen Mantle, Black River; Miss Geraldine Mantle, Rome; three grandchildren and a brother, Clarence Mantle, Harrisville."

"Leonardsville — Dennison W. Rogers, 78, of Leonardsville, a past chairman of the Madison County Board of Supervisors and a partner in the Conkling-Rogers Lumber Co., died Sept. 21, in Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. Mr. Rogers was born in Leonardsville and attended local schools. He married Susa Dye, in 1910 in Leonardsville. Mrs. Rogers died in 1964. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Earlville Methodist Church for 44 years, and Earlville Lodge IOOF. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Martha) Wratten, Leonardsville, and a sister, Mrs. Edmund Walker, Waterville ... Burial will be in the Leonardsville Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at the Amos F. Beecher Funeral Home, Earlville. An IOOF service will be at 8 tonight."
