Nancy Ruth (Rowley) Shattuck (1930 - 2012)
"Shattuck, Nancy Nancy R. Shattuck, 82, of Peoria, passed away on April 28, 2012 in Bakersfield, CA. She was born in Sewickley, PA on March 13, 1930 to Myron and Ethelwyn Rowley. Nancy married Ralph Shattuck and relocated to Arizona in 1985. Ralph preceded her in death in 2010. Nancy is survived by son Richard and wife Lisa, and daughter Nancy. Her legacy will continue through her granddaughters, Isabelle and Francessca. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Bauer; nieces and nephew, John, Cindy and Melissa. Nancy was an avid golfer, bowler and loved to travel. One of her passions in life was to volunteer as a case worker for the Adult Protective Services. She was formally recognized for her dedication and years of advocacy work. Services were held privately. Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary were entrusted with Nancy's care."

Charles Henry Ten Eyck (1923 - 2012)
"Ten Eyck, Charles H. 89, of Sedona died Sunday, November 4, 2012. He was born in Fabius, New York June 13, 1923 to Henry and Lula Ten Eyck. Charles joined the Army in 1943 during World War II where he participated in the Normandy Invasion. He received a field promotion to 2nd lieutenant in the Signal Corps in Europe. He spent most of his life in the construction industry as a general contractor/ homebuilder. He started out with his brother and father in upstate New York and then continued in construction upon moving to Phoenix in 1959. He also worked for the City of Phoenix in the Building Inspections department for 9 years. He built several homes in Sedona, including two for him and his wife, Eunice, where they have lived for over 30 years. Charles was an outdoorsman and avid fisherman. He was a talented woodcarver and woodworker, creating many functional and artistic pieces for family and friends. Charles is survived by Eunice, his wife of 65 years, his son Art (Carlene) and his daughter Patricia; grandchildren Lauren Martin (Jeremy) and Clayton Ten Eyck (Emily) and four great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering is planned for Nov. 17 at the Sedona Historical Museum."
