Marietta (Bingham) Older (1844 - 1923)
"Mrs. Marietta Bingham Older Mrs. Marietta Bingham Older, who has been making her home at the Restin' Cottage for a year, died Saturday, Oct. 6, from a stroke. Mrs. Older's 70th birthday was the next day and the letters, cards and packages which came was one line of evidence of many friends. She had a friendly happy way of meeting people and was very appreciative of every kindness shown her.
Services were held in the Episcopal church in Warsaw, her home town, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Allison, a friend."

James William Shipman (1850 - 1925)
"JAMES WILLIAM SHIPMAN James William Shipman (sic), 74 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William H. Baker of Warsaw, last Tuesday evening. Mr. Shipman was born in Warsaw, the son of Steven and Mary Shipman. On July 17, 1875, he married Miss Amy Leffingwell of Gainesville.
He leaves a wife, a daughter, Mrs. W. H. Baker, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Warsaw Baptist Church. Burial was made in Maple Grove cemetery, Gainesville."

William Delevan Russell (1862 - 1932)
"Gainesville W.M. D. Russel
W. D. Russel a well known, highly respected citizen of this village, passed away at his home, on Main Street, Saturday morning, August 13, 1932 after a lingering illness.
God's grace was very manifest through all his suffering and was continually shown forth to all who saw him, many resolving to walk a closer walk with God.
He was born in Gainesville, Sept. 14, 1862. His occupation was mainly farming. He gave his heart to God in early life and since has taken great pleasure in helping others, the golden rule being his delight.
He was married to Miss Genevia I Reeves of this village, Oct. 27, 1887. To them were born seven children, one dying in early life. There remains his wife and six children to mourn his loss. Mrs. W. D. Russell, Misses Ethel and Beulah Russell of Gainsvulle, Howard and Clifford of Gainesville,also Howard and Clifford Russell, Mrs. Willis Steele of Brockport, [and] Mrs. Chas. Barton of Frewsburg.
Funeral Service was held at his late home Monday at 2:30 p.m, Alder B. W. Miner of Chilli officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville."

[column 1:] "Mr. and Mrs. W. J.Stamp and Mr and Mrs. Glenn Lathrop of Pike drove to Rochester on Sunday, called there by the death of Mr. Stamp's father, Nicholas Burns."
[column 3:] "William J. Stamp received word that his step-father, Nicholas Burns of Rochester, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frances Regan, formerly Clara Burns, on Thursday, January 30. He leaves besides Mr. Stamp two sons, Walter of Newark and Louis A. of Coldwater, one brother, John of Rochester; one sister, Mary Nelson of Rochester; and several grandchildren. Funeral Services took place on Monday, Feb. 3."

"Frances T. Powers died August 4, 1937 in her Warsaw home. Surviving are four sons, Edward and Charles of Union Springs, Wilford of Tonawanda, Frederick of Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. John Wallace of Pike, Mrs. Floyd Barnard of Arcade, Mrs. Hugh McCall of Lamont, Mrs. Burlingame of Warsaw; and a sister, Mrs. Glenn Lathrop of Pike. Funeral services at the Warsaw M.E. Church with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville."

"Pike Glen Lathrop Glen Lathrop, 72, passed away early Thursday morning at the Warsaw Hospital after having a very serious operation, the week before. His funeral was largely attended at his home on north water street Sunday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. L.A. Mason of Dubkirk, officiating. He was buried in Elmwood cemetery beside his first wife and baby who died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his loss, his second wife, Mate Lathrop and two children by his first wife, Mrs. Iona Wallace of Rochester and Adelbert Lathrop of Castile; five grandchildren, four of them acting as pall bearers. One grandson, Leon Lathrop, is in the army at North Carolina."

"Mrs. Mary Lathrop, 84, Dies at Cook Nursing Home
"Mrs. Mary Lathrop, 84, passed away April 3, 1951 at the Cook Nursing Home in Lamont, following a prolonged illness . She was the widow of the late Glenn S. Lathrop.
Mrs. Lathrop was born in Gainesville in 1867 and had spent most of her life in that vicinity.
She is survived by two step-children, Mrs. Walter Wallace of Perry and Adelbert Lathrop of Pike; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at two o'clock at the Harmon Funeral Home in Castile. The Rev. R. E. Strong, pastor of the Pike United Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be made in the family plot at the Gainesville Cemetery."
