William Nelson Ferree (1849 - 1915)
"DIED William Nelson Feree William Nelson Feree, aged 56 years, died at his home in Lardintown yesterday at five-thirty o'clock. Besides his widow he leaves two sons, Albert and John.
Funeral services will be held in the Millertown M.E. church Thursday at two o'clock. He was a member of I.O.O.F. No. 587 of Tarentum."

Sarah Bella (Rowley) Ferree (1861 - 1929)
"Mrs. Sarah Ferree
Mrs. Sarah Belle Rowley Ferree, aged 69, wife of the late William Ferree, died at 10:40 last evening at her home in Lardintown, Clinton Township, Butler county.
For the past 16 years a resident of Lardintown, Mrs. Ferree has spent her entire life i the Millertown-Lardintown district.
Surviving are a son, George Ferree, of McKeesport; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Walter, of Millertown, and Mrs. Polly Curtis, of Texarkana, Texas; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Millestown with Rev. J. W. Norris, pastor of the Westminster church in charge. Burial will follow in the Millertown cemetery."

Val Jean (Morford) Burtner (1920 - 2000)
"Val Jean Burtner, Harrison: Val Jean Morford Burtner, 80, of Natrona Heights, Harrison, died Monday (Oct. 2, 2000) at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.Born July 10, 1920, in Tarentum, she lived in the Valley all her life.She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights, and volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels at the church.She is survived by three sons, Paul L. Campbell of Zephyrhills, Fla., William L. Campbell of Middleport, N.Y., and Claude L. Lanker Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Sylvia Wright of Burt, N.Y.; a stepson, Oliver L. Burtner of Natrona Heights; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Morford of Kissimmee, Fla.; and four sisters, Violet Lucas of Buffalo Township, Lillian Dalley of Beaver, Marian Pipes of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Bernice Bender of Colleyville, Texas. Mrs. Burtner was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Lawrence Campbell; her second husband, Claude L. Lanker Sr.; and her third husband, Wilbur L. Burtner; a stepson, Francis R. Burtner; her parents, Albie and Margaret Grimm Morford; a brother, Albie Morford; and three sisters, Margaret Gearhart, Pearl Shirey and Betty Greenhawk. Family and friends are invited from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, where a service will be at 11 a.m. Friday with her pastor, the Rev. Harry G. Souders, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Airy Cemetery, Harrison. The family suggests memorial contributions may be to Faith Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund, 1500 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, PA 15014.
