Born in Butler County on what is known as the Shearer Farm near Fisk Chapel 19 Nov 1857, but lived most of her life in Freeport. Married Henry W. Rowley 19 Jan 1886 by Rev. Leonard, then pastor of the M.E. Church here. Left husband and five children: Carrie and Myron at home, Clyde of Freeport, Howard of Vandergrift and Mrs. Sarah Mickey of Laneville."

Obituary 124: "ROWLEY, Henry W.—Died 25 Aug. 1934 of heart trouble, 80 years. Veteran business man of Freeport. Funeral service at his late home, Fifth Street, Freeport PA 28 Aug.; interred at Freeport Cemetery."

Obituary 201: "ROWLEY, Henry W.- Freeport, Aug. 27— Died suddenly Saturday at home. Near 80. One of Freeport's oldest and best loved citizens. Born and reared in Freeport. Married to Elizabeth Dike 9 Jan 1886. In business in Freeport over 53 years. Last place of business on Fifth Street. Sports, stationary business. Agent for all Pittsburgh and local papers until three years ago when route was disposed of to L. Viletto and son. An official baseball scorer. Ardent fisherman, made yearly trips to Canada staying for two months each time. Funeral Services at family home on Fifth Street Tuesday by Rev. T.H. Carson and Rev. Bruce R. Shaffer. Interment in Freeport Cemetery. Left two daughters Mrs. Carrie Rowley at home and Mrs. Sarah Mickey of Laneville; three sons Howard of Wheeling, W. Va., Clyde of Oakmont, and Myron at home."

Obituary 439: "ROWLEY, Henry Walter died 25 Aug. 1934, heart attack, passed his 79th birthday on 9 Jan 1934. Had made his usual trip to Canada this year. Born in Freeport on 9 Jan 1855. Attended public schools. Celebrated 51st year in business last January. Started in stationary business, buying out the late Walter A. Weaver, in building now occupied by Humes Restaurant. Later moved to store occupied by the late General Anderson. In 1890 erected building now occupied by American Store on Fifth Street. Acted as agent for Pittsburgh papers until several years ago, agency sold to L. Viletto and Son. Continued stationary business in Clark Building, then Dibert Building. Married Elizabeth Dike of this place on 19 Jan 1886. She died 5 Oct 1929. Of this union five children survive Mrs. W. W. Rowley and Myron at home, Clyde of Verona and Mrs. Merle Mickey of Laneville; 8 grandchildren. Services at his late home on Fifth Street 2 Aug. by his pastor Rev. Taylor H. Carson. Interment in family plot in Freeport Cemetery. Out of town folks who came to pay their respects: E. N.
