He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and former Republican committee chairman and board member of the Vandergrift-Kiski Area School board. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Beatty Scott: two daughters Mrs. Charles (Mickie) Zarganis of Ft. Ord, Calif, and Mrs. Janie Scott of Ellicott City, Md; a brother, Edward of __ Home N.Y.: four sisters Mrs. Helen Goodbread of Leechburg RD 3, Mrs. Martin (Anna Cannon of Vandergrift, Mrs. Charles L_) Gogen of New Castle and Miss Ina Scott of Washington, D.C, his stepmother Mrs. Laverna Scott of Vandergrift(,) and one granddaughter. Friends may call at the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave. from 7 to 9 p.m. today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, when services will be conducted by the Rev. William Hess, followed by burial in Spring Church Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made in Mr. Scott's memory to the First United Methodist Church."
